Our History
Springfield Middle School was founded in 1975 with a commitment to providing quality education to the growing Springfield community. What began as a small school with just 150 students has grown into a thriving educational institution serving over 650 students across grades 6-8.
Over the decades, our school has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of students while maintaining our core values and commitment to excellence. We've expanded our campus, enhanced our curriculum, and incorporated innovative teaching methods to prepare students for success in the 21st century.
Throughout our history, Springfield Middle School has been recognized for academic achievement, innovative programs, and our contribution to the community. Our alumni have gone on to succeed in high school, college, and diverse career paths, carrying forward the values and skills they developed at Springfield.

Springfield Middle School is led by an experienced team of educators committed to providing the best possible learning environment for our students. Our leadership team works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and families to uphold our mission and values.
Dr. Sarah Johnson
Principal
Dr. Johnson has served as Principal of Springfield Middle School for the past 8 years. With over 20 years in education, she brings a wealth of experience and a passion for middle school education. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from State University.

Mr. Michael Rodriguez
Assistant Principal
Mr. Rodriguez oversees student support services and discipline at Springfield Middle School. A former math teacher, he is passionate about creating a positive school culture where students feel safe and supported.
"The middle school years are a critical time of growth and development. We strive to provide the guidance and support students need during this important transition."
